About Motivation
Better mobility will not happen without dedicated people working for change. That is why we chose to support the international disabilities charity Motivation.
It is estimated that globally more than 20 million people need wheelchairs but do not have them. Throughout the developing world, people with disabilities are routinely excluded from employment, education and community life.
Motivation work to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities by developing products and services tailored to the needs of each community. By working with disabled peoples organisations, Motivation makes sure that disabled people themselves have control over the programmes that benefit them.
Motivation provides long-term solutions by establishing local wheelchair service centres that can provide wheelchairs for many years to come. Motivation also works with employers and local partners to deliver vocational training that leads to jobs and financial independence.
